Events

Upbeat Music hosts two all-school concert events per year; a Christmas concert in December, and a spring concert in June. When you attend one of our all-school concerts, you will see solo performances on piano, guitar, voice, drums, and violin, ensemble performances, as well as performances by our teachers.

Upbeat Music also hosts smaller concerts at the Chicago Public Library Chinatown branch in the summer and for our Halloween party/performance. The next concert at the library is on Aug 12 and is preceeded by a presentation by Upbeat Music owner Scott Johnson titled “Stop Wasting Money on Music Lessons: How to have an invaluable experience learning to play an instrument”.

In addition to these unique performance opportunities, Upbeat Music perform for community events and also hosts smaller practice recitals so students are better prepared for their public performances.
