Online Lessons

There are several reasons why you might take lessons online. Sometimes you’re not able to make your regular lesson due to weather or some other transportation issue. Sometimes your teacher may only have time for a make-up lesson if it’s outside our regular hours. Sometimes, it’s just more convenient for you. 

Whatever the reason is, our teachers have a lot of experience conducting lessons virtually to make sure you still have a great lesson experience. Facetime, Whatsapp, Google Meet, or a phone’s video call feature, have all been used for online lessons.

There are a few steps to take to prepare for an online lesson:

• place your device where your teacher can see your face, hands, and instrument on the screen
• have a light source in front of you (a light source behind you will create a shadow over your face)
• remove any distractions, whether they are visual or audio, from the space where you’ll set up for your lesson
